Product Description

From the Manufacturer
Toshiba's D-VR670 combines the functionality of multiple A/V components into a single, compact unit. The combination of a DVD player and VCR lets you enjoy audio and video from a variety of sources, or transfer video from DVD to VHS (and vice versa). Integrated digital and analog tuners allow you to receive over-the-air television content without a separate converter box, and when combined with DVD-recording capabilities, make it possible to record TV programming to DVD. As an added bonus, the D-VR670's video-upscaling technology enhances standard-definition DVD video to near-HD 1080p levels, for a better HDTV experience.

DVD Recorder/VCR Combo with Built-In Digital Tuner
Built-in Tuner
A built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM digital/analog tuner allows for tuning of digital channels from over-the-air broadcast or cable, including "cable-in-the-clear" digital channels.
Multi-Format Recording and Playback
The D-VR670 provides serious recording media convenience, with the ability to record to both DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW recordable DVD formats and to VHS tape. Program up to 12 TV recordings, or copy DVDs over to VHS tapes (and vice versa). When recording DVDs, enjoy the convenience of automatic chapter markers, title menu/playlist making, and finalizing.

A variety of digital formats are also supported, for those who have a lot of media on their computers and other devices. Enjoy MP3/WMA audio, JPEG images/photos, and DivX format video from CD-R/RW discs. DivX files can also be recorded on DVD-RW/-R and DVD+RW/+R.
DVD Upconversion
Take advantage of modern HDTVs with DVD video upconversion to 1080p resolution, via the D-VR670's HDMI output. Take your current DVDs to a new level, for a more detailed viewing experience.
One-touch Recording
One-Touch Recording makes recording your favorite show simple. Just connect the D-VR670 to your cable or satellite box, and you're set to record with the push of one button.
Input/Output Versatility
Right up front, the D-VR670 boasts a DV input, making it easy to save your precious memories to DVD. Front RCA audio/video input jacks are also provided for connecting additional A/V devices without digging around behind the unit. The rear of the unit also features an S-VHS input and another set of RCA audio/video inputs, and of course an antenna input/output.
For connecting the D-VR670, you'll also have a variety of output options: HDMI for audio and video over a single cable (and DVD upconversion), component and RCA video outputs, S-video output, and both RCA/digital coaxial audio outputs.
Immersive Surround Sound
When connecting the unit to a compatible amplifier or decoder, you can enjoy surround sound from your DVDs in both Dolby Digital and DTS formats. Audio can be transmitted with video over HDMI, and both digital coaxial and standard RCA audio outs are provided, for a variety of connectivity options.
